Review of The Eminence in Shadow Season 2

A good brainless action isekai to watch if you can't be bothered with watching anything remotely serious. Some say that this is like a parody of isekai trope, but it certainly isn't. It follows each brainless isekai trope to the core. The only part of it that seems comedic is the MC himself, but even that has already been seen in other isekai like Overlord. Cid also follows that route of him being ignorant about what's actually happening and his side characters that worship him like he's a god explaining what's happening. The MC himself is rather unlikable, like pretty much almost every character in thisseries since most of them exist just for the sake of worshipping the MC or fan service.

Story is a simple brainless isekai story and it's progressing like pretty much any isekai does. Nothing special there, but it's enjoyable enough if you want to kill some time watching something dumb but enjoyable.

Literally, everything is there. An OP goofy MC, bunch of females so that an average viewer can imagine himself shagging an elf waifu from his favourite isekai show, stupid villains who are going to be demolished but MC's OPness, boobs, occasional "funny jokes" that no one sane enough would find funny, boobs, flashy action, magic school (ofc you need magic school, duh), boobs, MC worship, fantasy world in mostly western european setting... Everything your average isekai has, but slight above average fun factors so it has that at least. They also did something extraordinary in this season, they even introduced some mecha near the end. Imagine that? Revolutionary.

But yeah, in overall, it's an above average isekai that average viewer might find fun to chill to after watching something more serious.
