Review of ReLIFE
I was already looking forward to this one, as one of more promising shows and they actually released it whole available for streaming on the day one. I'm one of those users that like to marathon shows, so this kind of format is much preferable over weekly episodic TV screening. + While all of the story elements were already featured in many other more famous shows, ReLIFE still manages to be interesting enough and thought provoking. It makes you think what would you do in Kaizakis place, how would you act in the situations that you already left behind years ago, would you break therules if given clearance... The show also has a bunch of plot twists, which aren't that special now looking back, but it's actually amazing how they are presented to you, right in a moment when you aren't even remotely thinking about them. (8/10)
+ Nothing much to say about the animation, given what kind of show this is. Nothing to fancy to look at, but it still is of high enough quality to look smooth and pleasant. The characters all have very simple designs, more on standard school anime style, that fits their personalities and makes them quite memorable. There are also a lot of comedy elements that are smoothly implemented and they doesn't bring the overall art quality down. (7/10)
+ The background score isn't anything memorable, but again, it makes the job done. Seiyuu-s all did great job, with all characters having fitting voices, may it be character with lots or one with no emotions at all. The OP is very melodic and catchy which made me not skip it every time and the show also had different songs for the ending, probably fitting the gimmick that MC listens them on his radio. (4/5)
+ If you have a soft spot for a bunch lovable characters, well, you will actually like all of them. You will obviously prefer some over the others, probably based on your personality, as I like the socially awkward characters more, especially Hishiro, which is also my real life type of girl. The only major thing I would change is about Kaizaki, he is way to sure in his conclusions and there is no way that he still cannot pass the tests after all that learning (says me, doing math and physics second year in a row). (8/10)
+ I really enjoyed it a lot, from the start to end and I instantly want more (so I'm probably going to read manga next). Some episodes actually made me laugh out loud and that is always a big plus in my book, I actually think they shouldn't tone down the comedy so much towards the end. The show also made me giddy a few times, but not really too emotional, I guess because the story is far from over and the weight of the situation didn't sink in yet. (13/15)
Despite most of the seasonal anime only have 1 episode out at this time, I still think this would stay at the top as one of the best series this summer season. Go watch it while you wait for next part of your favorite weekly anime, you probably don't have anything better to do anyway.
