Review of The Fruit of Grisaia

This is without a doubt my favorite anime. The anime has a shift in tone that is dramatic while still being really enjoyable. It handles a harem story while not being afraid to have a dark underlying tone for the main girls back stories. The story itself is separated into arcs with each of the main girls past being explored to give more of an appreciation for each of the girls while developing the group dynamic as a whole. The friendship and bond between the characters grow as they learn of the past traumatic events that affected each of them. I enjoyed everyone one ofthe characters in the story. The character themselves are very likable to the point that there are many conflicting groups of people that argue who is best girl (Amane of course).

Overall if you do not mind a few episodes that are more harem focused with comedy, you will be rewarded with a great story of each of the character and a pretty intense story with the last arc

I liked this anime so much I decided to play the visual novels and the benefit of that was that I was able to select routes so that I could see what would happen if the main character chose a girl and lived out their life with them. I highly recommend the game for anyone who enjoyed the anime
