God Ash is such a loser. How did we not follow Ash indefinitely but not Red??? Ash is literally GIVEN every single Pokémon. RED IS THE POKÉMON MASTER WE ALL DESERVE. I really appreciated Red because he truly valued and treasured his pokémon. They literally were like a family to him, they weren't an ends to a means. I also liked this anime because it followed the original plot of the Pokémon Gold GB game, so that was fun to see as well. All in all, the original 1997 version is still nostalgic for me, but I would probably never watch the whole thing again.
