You have no idea how hyped I was for this movie. However, it was rather generic and I was disappointed to be honest. Story: It follows the tale of how the eternal war progressed thousands of years ago and how humans, the weakest of races, have managed to survive and be acknowledged as a race in this world. Unlike the original series, which focuses on games and cunning tricks to progress the story, Zero focuses on the romance between Riku and Schwi. Now let me make one thing clear, I, myself, aren't even that interested in the romance genre unless under certain very specific conditions whichsome very rare anime manage to cover so although I didn't enjoy the story, if you're a hardcore romance fan you might still find it good.

Art: This is where the good stuff are and why I even started watching the series. In the original series I was also most impressed with the art style and fluid animation and Zero is no exclusion from this. In fact, it's probably even better since here we have fight scenes which I think show the true potential of those amazing graphics.

Sound: Nice I guess, not too great, not too bad. It wasn't heavily focused on during the movie in either case, but it fits with the atmosphere and feel all throughout. Also, I'd suggest watching the subbed version because you'll then have the original voices you're already used to from the original show (Yes, even Sora, Shiro and Steph).

Entertainment: If you liked the original series then you're going to love this. It has everything that it used to have and more. The romance has surely improved, but in exchange the comedy was rather demoted. We have some action as well which is nice if you ask me. However, the downfall here was probably the character development, well excluding the main cast of course. Since as I said romance is the main focus, most side characters and ones whom were just introduced got almost nothing to their character development. We barely got to know about anyone other than Riku and Schwi, but as I said since this is a romance first and foremost then I can't really judge it much.

Conclusion: Watch this if you: like romance, liked the art style and sound track of the original series.
Don't watch this if you: Dislike romance, looking for games or tactic-art like the original series, find character development a necessary element of a good anime.
