The plot of this anime is very simple,The protagonist wanting to get back his body which was taken from him at birth when his father Daigo Kagemitsu who is the ruler of the land, made a deal with the demons for the prosperity of his land in return for his son's body. There are twelve demons and when the MC kills one he gets a body part back such as a limb or nose etc....That's all there is to the plot it does not have any higher meaning, its just MC and Dororo (who has tagged along for the ride) finding demons and MC killing them, occasionally
MC and Dororo face other problems ...usually in the form of a monster (not demon, these are two very different things in the show, please keep that in mind). This lack of deviation from the main plot was not a problem for me and i enjoyed Dororo still and did not feel bored or that i was in a cycle of the plot repeating itself over and over again

One problem i had was the deterioration in production quality as the show progressed....The animation got really bad and out of hand somewhere around the middle of the series and it continued for three episodes or so before it went back to normal but it was so bad that it could not be easily ignored the deterioration in production quality can still be seen due to the fight scenes which have become slow and boring to watch with not enough action as in the start with the character using basic moves

But putting these problems aside, Dororo is a really good show and i recommend it, do not expect to be at the edge of your seats at any part of this anime but its a good watch if you have some time to kill
