I finished this series on 3/24/2020 at 3:01 am A masterpiece which was unforeseen by most; this show is a perfect 10. To start, the premise of the show is truly original and stands alone at the top for me when it comes too originality. Having the show take center ice around wanting to change is a premise we all relate with, but how it's achieved is unique for every one. The show displays that change for all 4 of the characters, some being sooner than others, but overall the main cast changes and so do some of the other semi-main characters such as Toudou.Moving on, the characters are something unmatched in my opinion when it comes to how real they feel. Everyone in this show has their own quirks and strengths, making the characters all feel human other than a "perfect being". Shirase is a strong willed person who is confused by her own desires at first, but over the course of the trip starts to accept reality and changes for the better for that. Hinata is a super compassionate girl who's been hurt the most by others, she left being with the crowd to find herself a salvation. In reality, that only left her in limbo up until someone else was able to get through to her that she's not alone and that there are people who she can trust. Yuzuki is in a similar boat as Hinata, but having the life that she has so far, she's more in the unknown when it comes to living a "normal" life. Her fault is not understanding certain things that are a norm to others, but she isn't at fault for that. She learns more so from the actions and reactions of others than she does from the words of people "that meant nothing before meeting them". Mari is the Final girl, the one with the least problems, but she was always missing something from her life. A girl who wanted a reason or just a new experience is what she wanted most, but she got way more than she asked for meeting 3 amazing friends for life among the countless crew members she befriends.

The art in this show is breath taking; taking a photo of any shot in this anime can be put as a stand alone and tell a story. The art with the browns in the arctic, the aurora lights in the night, and even the picture of the girls in the circle are just a fraction of the powerful and lasting moments that leave an impression the animation in this show causes on the viewers.

The music is very well done, queuing at perfect times through out the show to deepen the atmosphere at certain times. The opening intro is one that I didn't skip once since it was short, very well composed with music and animation, and how well it showed off what's to come in the show.

Coming into to this show blindly, I expected some good from it, but the idea that this would be rated as a perfect 10 by me is something I would have never expected. The beautiful animation, the amazing music, and the unforgettable main cast, this show is deserving of being called a masterpiece.
