Sport - Romance has been a combination I usually seek for in anime and manga since way back. Despite it's actually not that hard to find, something suitable for me is kinda rare. When the two genres combined, I prefer them to be balanced and that's what makes it hard to find. So I was really glad that I finally found this manga some years ago. Get! is a short manga that tries to explore soccer, friendship and romance at the same time. In result, it fails to be either a sport manga, a manga about friendship or romance manga. But it doesn't mean the mangafails to be entertaining.

When it comes to soccer, this manga doesn't deliver any special shoots or techniques that would make it interesting. But still, soccer plays a big part in the story and a medium to create drama.

The strongest point of this manga is on its successful attempt to build the chemistry between its characters especially between Mai and Harumi. The romance between them is really sweat that you can't help but to root for them. You may find Mai annoying though, because sometimes she gets angry and punches Harumi. She is a typical heroin of manga after all. But she is more developed than Harumi which is great.

One should be noted that this manga has an old style and shoujo-ish when it comes to its character design. But a long leg isn't that disturbing to see.
