The Beloved Bashful Villainess · review
The first thing to say about this Manhwa is that if you can make it past the first season, about 56 chapters, it becomes GOATED. The first season is slow, and there isn't any romance; it's more world-building and setting up the plot, which is fine but can be a bit boring. The translation for the first 50 chapters was also horrendous, at least the scan I read. Then you get into the second season, and something changes, romance begins to blossom, and characters begin to feel . . . real. You start to get insights on Lorretta, and you begin to worry. You know thingsthe characters don't, and it builds tension. Then you transition to Melody and her blossoming feelings. The small things feel like a suckerpunch and leave you grinning like a stupid idiot.
Seriously, the author did such a good job during the second season, the only reason I don't give it a higher score is because of the struggle getting into the story, but man, was it worth it. The art is good as most manhwas are, but the way they make the characters blush got me feeling some sort of way.
