Kagurabachi is brilliant. Takeru Hokanzo's compositions take great influence from action films of the past decades and invite you to experience the story with the same dynamism as the characters. Every arc has felt engaging and exciting. The characters' mindsets and ideals shape the story and focus heavily on the themes of legacy and responsibility. Should you be proud of your country and it's heroes without looking deeper? What is the price of safety and who must pay it? Kagurabachi's subtext focusing on the sins of past generations and how they shape the modern world are perfectly placed for this moment in time.
