Started this hoping for a cute Kaguya-sama-inspired rom-com, got an incredibly mid show with weird and bad pacing, concept, plot, and characters instead. The "I love you game" is a deeply, deeply stupid concept and makes this show unwatchable for anyone over the age of 14. This game has no stakes and makes 0 sense. Why would they start playing this? Why are they still playing it now? How have they been keeping up and playing such a boring game all these years, and why? They do not do a good job of convincing you why these near-adults would still be doing this. They don'teven do a good job at establishing why it began in the first place.

No one talks or communicates with other human beings like this. No one even kinda talks like this. Even in the anime world, where everyone talks like a weirdo nerd, no one talks like this. It feels like I've entered some weird twilight zone where everything is slightly off.

so unrealistic and conceptually stupid its making me mad again writing this review. Which sucks cause MC girl seems like a fun and cool character... sucks that she's stuck in such an intrinsically stupid and bad story.
