The build-up of Bai Xiaochun as the big little guy of the Anti-River (River-defying) Sect is ruined by one single decree from heavens and he is now the "honored" hostage. The author being he is, getting turned on by having other characters of the series hate the main one being his hobby, again make opportunities for him to suffer. How many times has this guy already endured zero to hundreds? I neither expect "WHAAT??" jaw-dropping plot twists nor demand intricate social game dynamics (I could really appreciate non-elemantary level of dialogues) from cultivation donghuas, as well as power-ups that follows every life-threatening moment, expectedly, cause dullnessovertime, yet it was still intruguing (more like stimulating lol) to keep me hanged for the next season to come. IMO, if it was popular enough it wouldn't still have 8 points.
