End of the World · review
If you like her other works you'll enjoy this as well, some stories had me wishing they were developed into longer works and others felt well suited for their short length. As usual for Okazaki the stories mostly discuss women and sex/violence, you can really get a sense for the discomfort and feeling of helplessness a lot of these characters experience. Of course the artwork is either love it or hate it, I happen to really love the sort of messy but simple style. I think Vamps, Little Sun in the Water, and Sunflowers were best suited for the short story format, while Otome-Chan andEnd of the World could have benefited from being longer stories, Otome-Chan specifically feels like it can't quite reach the points it wants to make.
I think
1. Vamps
2. Little Sun in the Water
3. End of the World
4. Sunflowers
5. Otome-chan
