Firstly, if you’re looking for a battle Shonen, mystery or thriller; carry on cause this ain’t it. This manga is probably most comparable to Rosario to Vampire or maybe a less mature (both in H content and storytelling) Tsugumomo. The manga prioritizes harem first, action far second, sprinkled with touches of ecchi and drama here and there. It definitely stumbles a bit in its pacing and direction at first but I think it’s starting to get its legs around chapter 8 or so. It differs a bit from the typical dumb unaware harem protagonist by having a somewhat tragically beaten down protagonist that has a strong senseof justice that only comes out when he wants to protect people.
So far it hasn’t really done anything too revolutionary but it’s definitely showing signs of potential, some of the backstories are somewhat engaging and the characters (while pretty stereotypical) feel authentic in their actions.
It definitely has the feel of an author desperate to keep their serialization but I think there’s some real potential for a good story to emerge as the author gets more comfortable
