I managed to finish season 1 after some struggles because I remembered the novel well. There were a lot of changes even if the events and the characters stayed more of less the same, but it still bothered me quite a lot. Now here we are at season 2. And right at the beginning, dropped at episode 3. I can power through some nonsense modifications but there is a limit. They stopped making what I would consider minor changes and are making huge ones and that I can't. A novel adaptation is supposed to at least somewhat follow the plot, not change whatever the f***they want.

Making candice stronger and break top 100 when he was average in the story sure. But completely inventing an arranged marriage between Xu xin and him and a bet with luo feng hell no.

This anime shouldn't be called swallowed star, the statement about "based on the novel" is a fucking joke. I am really disappointed cuz I was looking forward to this.
