The Frozen Player Returns · review
Spoiler warning
This review may discuss plot details.
This isn't a regression of whatever manwha. The MC is frozen with his friends after conquering an "impossible" dungeon and was hailed as heroes. So the party is strong to begin thus there starting point is high. He is the first to get unfrozen and find out a lot of time elapse since he went with his friends into the dungeon. His stats are completely resetted and he needs to work from the ground up to gain them back. The plot revolve around some criminal gangs that are located in another realm / tower. And he wish to get rid of those mass murderer. His main motivation is to savehis friends that remain frozen. Which is a good way to drive the narrative.
He is outdated but get quickly back his ranks.
All is good honestly, it's a good progression manwha and the story is balanced enough. Main character is strong but not overly broken.
But somewhere towards the end, it starts to feel rush. Either the author wanted to call it a break or had no idea how to progress further but the MC manages to liberated 1 friends but at the cost of reducing one of his stats and have a huge cool-down on this ability.
She somehow manages to keep all her stats and just suffer from minor confusion with the time elapse. Why is he the only one suffering this massive debuf? was it all for a training arc? Thing is, the story accelerate the pacing from there on and goes on a hiatus.
Now the plot seems a bit confused and un-certain about how things are going to move on. The power balanced seems to be on the brink of breaking completely and any previous built up might be thrown to the bin. Thus I believe this hiatus is a good break for the author to recollect his thoughts and see what direction he wants to push the story. The MC still has yet to liberate all his buddies, which is his end goal.
Art is consistent and good. Mixing high tension moment and low tension moment with some comedy relief.
