Review of Days with My Stepsister
Gimai Seikatsu stands out visually: the animation is beautiful, with well-crafted settings and carefully drawn characters. The art direction manages to convey a calm and introspective atmosphere, fitting the show's purpose. However, the anime's main problem lies in the dynamics between the characters. Despite the good premise—two teenagers who become siblings through their parents' marriage—the way they interact feels forced. The dialogue sounds mechanical and unnatural, as if two artificial intelligences were trying to simulate human emotions. This detracts from the emotional impact of the scenes, which end up feeling cold and shallow. Even in moments where there is an attempt to create tension or intimacy, theslow pace and lack of true emotion make the anime monotonous. The story doesn't develop significantly, and the viewer feels like they're simply following a routine without any major events or real character development.
