Review of Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld Part 2
SAO, is that it or not yet???? TBFH , it might not be the ends yet since there is another SAO series in the works and you've guess it's "Sword Art Online: Progressive" due to come out probably anytime next year 2021. But enough of that, since what we have is what can we call as the last of the SAO alicization arc .....I'm not very much trilled as to how this sequels plot goes, in fact it was something that of Nero playing his violin when Rome is on fire or Archimedes still busy with his work even when the Romans were already insideSyracuse, sacking the city and causing mayhem , so WTF ????Here the WTF:
Story- Fair 6: I did mentioned about Nero playing his Violin when Rome is in fire and Archimedes getting killed by a Roman solider cu'z he failed to notice that they're already inside, cu'z he's busy tinkering , that's how I describe this anime's plot. Ok, so why the fuck? Ok, ever since the end of the 1st sequel of SAO Alicization, we see a couple of GlowGen Defense System Mercs who came into Ocean Turtle to steal this ALICE AI thing , but instead of the plot continues to deal with them mercs outside of that STL , more focused was given in the inside and yes that's in "Underworld" that was in an Soul Translator which is located in the middle of nowhere on the ocean, now I really don't know as to what's going on in the mind of this series' original creator, Kawahara Reki for putting more emphasis as to what's going on inside the STL, rather than the real threat outside. But, realistically one part of me likes the fighting in the virtual world of the "Underworld" while one part of me was virtually disgruntled that the action going on outside of dealing them mercs was jsut too lame especially when them mrecs were made to look like a bunch of armatures who can't shoot straight and just died in an very lame way....so:
If it were me to make this plot I'll do it like this:
Plot 1: I will have a first arc where people from Ocean Turtle would deal them GlowGen Mercs , I will probably put Kirito and other characters on the side for the mean time and focus on the new characters like Kikuoka Seijirou's skills as a JSDF operative to really duke out with them mercs in an actual shoot out . I would also have Mill and Vassago to instead of being in that STL they'll engage them Ocean Turtle Security in a series of gun fights , It's basically copy an action plot like that of Bruce Willis of "Die Hard" where Kikuoka Seijirou will be doing that John McLane thing on them mercs the finally would be him after all that hard fighting and gun fights he finally was able to kill Miller and Vassago , meanwhile Miller's hacker whos instruction was to plant a very sophisticated virus that threatens the flactlights of the "Underworld" where Kirito is in, that's where Asuna and the others will get in and save Kirito from that very sophisticated virus that's the part where they get to do them god-tier powers and baet the virus, but as they fight, there is a much powerful virus that only Kirito can fight , by some miracle Kirito was able to get back on his feet in a more bad ass manner ...in other word , what I have in mind is that the 1st arc would be more of action in the real world where the main characters like Alice ,Asuna, Kirito and the others would be push aside after the 1st arc when them mrces were beaten, that's where 2nd arc begins and them original characters gets back into action only to deal with a very sophisticated virus that was planted as a scorch earth policy of , if them mercs can't have ALICE then nobody will , in which that virus have to literally be dealt in that so called "Underworld."
Plot 2, if I can have it my way:
Miller and Vassago where a duo of radical hackers whom were disgruntle with Ministry of Internal Affair's Telecommunications Bureau, Advanced Network Division, Second Office (the «Virtual Division») where it was headed by Kikuoka Seijirou, the two thinks that the creation of the STL is an abomination , the 2 aforementioned belong to a group of virtual and fanatical terrorist that is responsible for creating chaos and misinformation as well as virtually attacking top level government offices and bureaucracy. In this plot they knew about Kirito's involvement with the virtual division and in fact the one who injected him with the poison was also a member of the radical group.....Now through and insider at Ocean turtle , named ,Yanai who was able to open up a virtual backdoor for them radical to hack through, now Higa , Rinko and other personnel discovers the backdoor and were unbale to close it as the back door opens that's where Miller and Vassago inserts a virus that would allow them to get them Flactlights and do the kind of hackings that were of next level.....from there they'll be doing a kind of isekai thing where they'll do a virtual dive into the "Underworld" but instead of the usual isekai thing, here they'll literally invade it like that of the Spanish Conquistadors having to enslave them Indians in the new world.. in this plot each hackers will capture a number of people in that Underworld cu'z their falactlights were essential for them to created an AI that will do the hacking for them and they also brought with them weapons that were used in Gun Gale in which they'll make quick work of them underworlders that even those heroes would be beaten in no time and to save they day them Underworlds would try their best to save Kirito, cu'z them hackers sees his flactlight as a means to counter any sophisticated firewall as well as to mask their location, thus making them next to impossible to track...so, to save the day Asuna, Sinon, Sugu, Yui and the rest of SAO protagonists would come in with their god-tier powers and try their best until Higa and Rinko finds a way to get Kirito to get back on his feet, in which they finally did and how it ends well I'll end it in a way that them radical hackers were found out and arrested, them Underworlders will be save and Ocean Turtle will continue to experiment with them still using Kirito and with the addition of Asuna and Alice.
So, that's how I'll be doing it if I can have it my way, cu'z the way the story plot that was present was a 2 faced way where it has that lame subplot where Ocean Turtle was under attack and less was done about it while a lot was done in the inside of that STL......Also, Rinko's analogy that AI like Alice would one day be given rights like that of any human being and later one reproduce like people IMAO was an abomination and TBFH I really do feel like going to Japan and beat the shit outta this series' original creator.
Art-fair 6: TBFH, despite of the overly exaggerated fashion in this anime, there wasn't much to say, except that there was this one time Asuna fanservice that was just too quick to be given a glimpse, everything else were just mediocre give that the design an illustrations were just the usual in any SAO series....
Sound-Mediocre 5: Also nothing much to say except Tomatsu Haruka,
Sawashiro Miyuki , Itou Kande and Taketatsu, Ayana were just too old to voice teenagae characters.....
Character- Fair 6: At 1st it was great that Kirito was put in background and it was them girls who dominated most of the sequel and the bad guys were Miller and Vassago, also at 1st we get to see them girls kick asses of those from the outer region opponents , but as the battle becomes intense when them GlowGen allowed other players in to do battle with them underworlders that becomes awesome when we see them female main characters shows despair and fatigue as they slowly loses their solders cu'z of the overwhelming number of outside players...though it was nice while it lasted we now see Kirito getting back into battle mode and that's where my interest goes down the drain , cu'z I would really like the bad guys to win......But enough of that cu'z seeing them Underworlders almost lose to Miller and Vassgo's dirty tricks was good, the biggest samrtass is Alice, when she finally goes to the real world in an android form and where one reported ask to her Central Processing Unit be shown, she arrogantly says she will but provided that that reporter shows his brain, also , Rinko's analogy that an AI like Alice should also have the same rights and privilege's of that of a common citizen was IMAO ( given that I've mentioned it already ) simply is sacrilege cu'z it basically gives man to define God and it is also a kind of perversion cu'z such AI having emotions and function can be compared to that of a human is an abomination which makes mankind closer to that of paganism. TBFH, if I were that reporter I'll probably bash that Alice, by saying that "You're merely a prototype and yet already you're showing signs of arrogance, let me remind you that such concept of someone like you having the same rights and privilege's of that of a citizen is still far from happening , I have no doubts that sooner or later if your kind were to given such rights and privilege's of that of a citizen , what's stopping your kind from not eliminating us humans and replacing with your kind, cu'z if you're capable of displaying emotions, then your kind will also not hesitate to lie and be much worse than us humans." Ok, so it might be just a theoretical answer if I were that reporter but then again why not , those flactlights were nothing more than just programs, binary's and algorithms, even today we humans do have such perversion that today's Millennials can't live without their smartphones or I-phones even though it is nothing more than a gadget that is compose of chips and conductors .....
Enjoyment- Good 7: Idk about you guys out there, cu'z one part of me simply don't like the some episodes, especially the one where them mercs were a bunch of armatures that can't shoot straight and whose demise were just lame and so as Miller and Vasago's demise as well, but then again seeing them main female characters and other protagonists, in the brink of despair was enjoyable while it lasted.
Overall -Poor 3: TBFH, this probable last SAO animation, was probably the only SAO that has and ending where it was one half good and one half lame, cu'z honestly , this SAO sequel was more like the original creator way of saying that it was ok to be a slacker, it was ok to escape in the virtual world where the realty of life sucks. Depending on how one sees this, to me this SAO is simply pushing it in a way that that can be said as "Counter Intuitive" as to why, it was pretty obvious , in the last episode Kirito's dad as him as what he wants to do with his future to which he says that he would rather stay in Japan and study Electrical Engineering and go work in Ocean Turtle, now that there is "Counter Intuitive" , cu'z why would Kirito wanna be an electrical engineer when his job at Ocean Turtle is to be a lab rat for that STL thing when he should be taking anything related to computer programming or advance programming research? Probably it was his way of saying that he want's to be a slacker and better to live in a virtual world of the underworld than to face the reality of having to go to school, graduate, get a job and marry, PATHETIC, if I were Kirito's dad, I'd probably punch him in the face and ask him to get out as for Alice being this smartass AI android , as Kirito's dad, I'd splash her with water, so that she'll shorted out and just die , besides , she a machine anywayz, well that's how I'll do it cu'z that's how I see this sequel's overall, so , do I recommend it????? Maybe not given that this was probably a lame SAO series.
