As an OVA, it's really good. We get a few focused stories on some of the lesser seen characters, all of which I'm guessing were cut from the original anime run. Having them all back-to-back is way better than the few and far between stories of the main series. But as a finale. It kinda sucks. There's 5 episodes that have nothing to do with the original finale, then one episode that adapts the final chapter of the manga. It's a good adaptation, but there's not much to adapt since the manga already had such a boring ending. If there was ever a time to breakfrom the manga, it would've been now. But as it stands, it's not a great ending, but still the best way to watch it.
