Doumo, Yuusha no Chichi desu. Kono Tabi wa Gusoku ga Gomeiwaku wo Kakete, Moushiwake Arimasen. · review
Good premise but story falls flat and loses its momentum after like 3 chapters. Pacing sometimes feels rushed, like the author can't wait to show the reader what happens next, and it just kind of ruins the moment for me. Readers don't really get to see what the hero's parents live after he has departed, and is jumped straight to the father finding the hero's fiancee that he left with. Each page feels cramped with details, and for me, it's hard to digest when every moment is shot into your face with almost no pause in between. Art is not the best, sometimes it looks likean unfinished sketch. Despite that, there are still some moments that are drawn really nicely (would literally be engraved in your mind had it been shaded and cleaned up with more details), and it does get better as the chapters progress.
