Goodbye Focus · review
So far the only stories available online are two. The tones are pretty unique. The first one is wistful, a mixture of longing and adoration, of someone losing their way and someone struggling to stay in their way. This is a story about finding forever in the temporary, and as much as the plot is pretty faint, the vibe is immaculate. The second one is bittersweet, and in some ways the opposite from the first story. This is about seeking a bit of ephemeral in the now, finding temporary respite in other people's flesh after losing the idea of forever. I enjoy that the story doesn't forcea love at first sight ending to this. And I doubly enjoy that despite the transient nature of the encounter, the story ends in a fairly optimistic tone.
