The Haunter of the Dark · review
There is nothing "wrong" with the plot itself, but it feels extremely dry. I think it's because you don't care at all about what happens to the protagonist, as it's very difficult to empathize with someone who displays a very limited range of emotions and barely interacts with anyone. To be fair, it's almost impossible to translate a psychological horror story like this one into a comic: the author tries to recreate some of the uncertainties using a deliberately obscure drawing syle that doesn't allow the reader to clearly see certain details, but it's simply not the same as the oppresive feeling of being surrounded byinvisible horrors that a written novel can convey.
That being the case, I think it would have been better to at least try to make the protagonist more relatable so that the reader could immerse themselves in some of those feelings of terror through him.
