This is a manga adaptation of the visual/kinetic novel of "I Walk Among Zombies" which is an adaptation of the web novel/light novel. Yuusuke Takemura, Age 25, a former salaryman who was bitten by a "weird old man" and passed out at his apartment for 3 days. During this time, the zombie apocalypse has occurred and Takemura discovers that the zombies won't attack him, even if he attacks them or drag them around. As he freely travels around and meets other survivors, he quickly realizes that he dislikes "emotional baggage" and seeks to be practical when it comes to other people: only being with them as longas is beneficial. Thus Takemura keeps his quirk about zombies not attacking him a secret as he doesn't want to become a 'food mule' for other survivors or be treated as an 'infected'

Despite my slightly above-average score of 6 out of 10, I actually did enjoy this manga.

I think it's a slightly refreshing take on a protagonist that isn't so 'goody' & virtuous, bad in some aspects but not quite evil. I almost wanna say he's as 'realistic' as someone would be in the zombie apocalypse who is on his own.

The art is pretty good and the manga features full colored pages as well, on top of new character designs for nearly all the characters due to the different artist for the manga. The only downside is the the scene-by-scene transitions between the manga panels. A lot of the time I don't realize a bit of time has passed or when the protagonist suddenly shifts from one location to another.

According to some people, the web novel & visual novel ends where chapter 37 & 38 is as that's where the author abandoned the story. Due to this, the manga's story seems to be in a 'happy ending' sort of place all of a sudden after just a few chapters of conflict with a ton of unanswered subplots & questions.

However due to the manga's popularity (it was even announced that it'll have a TV series!) the author has come back to continue the manga's story. So from chapter 38, we'll be getting new story arcs.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this manga as chapters come out.
