This manga is not good. It’s a sporadic mess of tonal whiplash with underlying incest, teases & depictions of sexual assault and low quality inconsistent characters. The quality improved around chapter 25 when it started to address character issues but even then not by much. The first 20 chapters heavily rely on sexual assault teases alongside the suspense of uncomfortable moments for “comedy” & for content without much depth to them. All of these moments feel like porn intros due to the hollow story before jarringly cutting to sweet family scenes. Sadly due to the sexualised & rapey first impression & the art in the happyscenes are corrupted with a sense of eeriness while also lacking in-universe realism to both the situations & characters.

For example there's a scene of our female lead gathering courage & self worth by denying a previously shown & currently depicted predator; rather than staying true to the character the tone shifts to happy go lucky & she leaves without issue. It's happy to see but it's very jarring with similar events repeating in some form across the current 49 chapters.

Namaiki na Gal is complete tonal whiplash with the only redeemable portion of the experience being the art.

PS. I decided to read this title because I found it under the tags of romance across a few sites and it has none. It does not exist.
