Review of Black Clover
No one is ready to say it so I will. Black Clover is a great series. Black Clover DOES NOT deserve the amount of hate it gets. That being said let me get to rating everything else that Black Clover has to offer. Story 8/10: I love the concept of Black Clover. Asta who has absolutely no lick of magic was born into a world where magic is everything, instead of giving up, losing hope and crying about it everyday like some other person, works hard and decides to take his fate into the control of his own hands. I really like the world building ofthe universe as well, and we finally got an anime where they actually have to say the name of their ability for it to work lol.
Art 8/10: I absolutely love the art style BC has. GODBATA does a great job at drawing characters. Even though the anime did not do it justice for like 140 episodes it's still okay.
Sound 9/10: I don't think I need to say anything about this, we all know how goated BC's openings and endings are. Specially JUSTadICE, Black Catcher and Tenjou Tenge. But I'll take one point off because the osts were not as good.
Character 8/10: While Black Clover has many great characters like Asta, Yami, Luck, Mereoleona, Julius and many others, there are some who just ruin this experience for me like bell and Noelle. I think Noelle is one of if not the strongest new gen female protagonist and has one of the best character developments in the show overall, but I just can not stand her character with all the "I'm Royalty!!" and hitting Asta all the time for no reason. And we all know how annoying just bell's presence is. Let's not talk about the fucking king. Lets talk about Yuno. Yuno is far from being similar to Sasuke. Yuno is probably the best rival Asta could've asked for. He is supportive, faithful, believes in Asta, and doesn't tolerate people who try to slander Asta as seen in that one scene he has with Sekke. What other Rival does this? Although Yuno has a lot of these good qualities including his looks, I can understand why people might not like him as he acts a bit too arrogant sometimes. Other than that, I absolutely love all the characters.
Enjoyment 10/10: I enjoy Black Clover a lot. It might just be one of my favorite animes after having watched 100+ animes. I really love how all the characters interact with each other and the way it has you rooting for the characters and feel like you're there with them watching them grow and evolve is really amazing which is why I think it's really enjoyable.
Overall 10/10: That being said you should definitely give Black Clover a try if you haven't already, it's one of the best new gens out right now. And even if you're one of the people who shit on it before even watching it, you should try it with an open mind you'll probably like it considering how many people did.
