Review of The Fruit of Grisaia

Let me start off by saying this is my first ever written review and it may not be the best but I decided to share anyways. Also I will be comparing this with the Visual Novel so if you aren't interested in that then you may wanna read another persons review! The first question I must ask is why is this only 13 episodes long while the visual novel has much more to offer? With this let's push right into the story first. It's way too short and with this it's bound to be rushed, this is very typical with Visual Novels though since they normallytry to condense many hours of content into a short 12-13 episode anime.

The anime was rushed from the beginning. They skipped over tons of material which could have been used to devlop the characters much more than they already were, which we will talk about in a bit. They had 3 episodes designated to characted devolpment then right with episode 4 they decided that they needed to start ending it and started to roll though each girls route's which were heavily modifed and almost nothing like the routes from the visual novel.

The characters. There is a character for everyone's tastes! The big breasted Onee-chan, the Tsundere, The Kuudere, The Maid, The Loli and The Cool Main Character. Also because of it being rushed the characters are underdevloped and you have troubles feeling bad for them when you hear about the troubles they had to go through.

When I first watched this anime I enjoyed it but after playing the visual novel I don't enjoy it as much anymore. The characters are underdevloped and the story is rushed as hell and alot of people didn't like it. It may have done some damage to the name of the source material but if someone did actual picked it up i am sure they enjoyed it as much as I did.
