Review of My First Girlfriend is a Gal

[THIS MAY CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS, THEY WILL BE NOTED] I believe this deserves a chance. Compared to the manga, the anime lacks a lot of stuff. Pretty much the anime tries to summarize everything that happened in the manga in a different way. I mean trying to fit 41 chapters(as of Sept 14th 2017) into 10 episodes seems kinda hasty. Probably some OVAs instead of making it a series would have reached higher scores. This is why I give it a 6.5(a 7 in MAL rating to help a bit). Due to the anime summarizing, makes the story look poor compared to the manga where the interactionbetween the 2 MCs is better and goes more in-depth and more comedic, music is good as i'm not that quite demanding about bgm and stuff.

The characters are your regular virgin guys but they are quite funny although I found one of the MC's friends quite creepy (you will find why if you watch/read it). Girls well... sometimes you feel like you want to put on your coat and be full on Thot Patrol but the female MC sometimes feels that she's not the girl you think she is and she's actually cute and enjoyable. (POSSIBLE SPOILER HERE ->)... I mean the show tries to suggest the viewers that the girls are ridiculously slutty but you find out that Yame isn't actually that kind of girl, and Ranko actually makes herself to be respected.

Also its important to mention that the manga is still not finished. I have a feeling that the anime could have a 2nd season if the manga keeps going as well as it is but (SPOILER HERE->) considering that the 1st kiss in the manga and anime happen in such different situations and the anime ending with Yame's old friend causing trouble I doubt it. He hasn't even showed up in the manga and i'm not sure if he will show up as it could've been improvised to finish the series at 10 episodes. [END OF SPOILER]

For anyone else who haven read it yet, I highly recommend it. Personally I like anime more than reading manga (weird isn't it? all people I know prefer manga x100 times than anime) and this time I can be 1000% sure that manga is actually pretty great.

If you dont have anything else to watch, give this a chance, you might enjoy it but, if you want to really enjoy it read the manga.
