Review of 7 Seeds

7Seeds felt like it had the makings of a great anime, but with poor execution. I haven’t read the manga, but the Anime itself felt more akin to a poorly thought out summer flick/series. Additionally there was not enough there to set it apart from better (in my opinion) anime like “High School Of The Dead” and “The Island Of Giant Insects” which cover similar apocalyptic themes (but with a different skin). It just felt like an overwhelmingly generic experience; one only slightly better than “Blue Gender (which was one of the most generic and boring anime I have ever watched)” and “Geneshaft (which in factis the most generic/boring anime I have ever had the misfortune of watching)”. However, despite the aforementioned, I still enjoyed it for what it was and as long as one is not expecting anything spectacular; they’ll enjoy it.

Good for a single watch, but I have a feeling only dedicated fans will be watching this more than once.
