Review of Devilman: Crybaby

well, this anime was not my type. but even though it wasnt my type, i still liked a few things about it. (mini spoilers ahead) one of them being the fact that the plot is slightly similar with darling in the franxx. the way it was portrayed really reminded me of all the emotions i felt when i watched darling. the finale as well (made me cry like crazy) was really surprising and better in some way. (not gonna spoil anything, but satan deserved that tbh) another thing i liked about this anime is the sound. yes. in some moments i just was listening to the backgroundmusic. lol.

another thing i liked would be the surprise that gave me almost every episode. if you gonna watch this ONA, prepare for some big surprises and plot-twists.

even though there were plenty of other things besides the ones enumerated that i liked about this anime, there were a lot of other things that i didnt like.

first, the intense sexuality. this anime would have been better with a bare minimum of sexuality in my opinion.

second, the plot was rushed. i didnt read the manga but the way the story goes is very "compressed". the character development was a total fail as well. (except satan that was very good portrayed and developped imo)

third, the animation sucked. well maybe this was the way they thought would work with the whole plot, but i dont like it.

i wanted to say more things, but its late and my mind doesnt work well, so ill give my conclusion:

not my type, poor character development, too short, rushed, but slightly enjoyable from another points of view.
