Review of Devilman: Crybaby
The story itself is amazing in my opinion, it brings together the classic feeling of a shounen anime with a twist ending that really pulls at the heartstrings, you are able to empathise with almost all the characters and the overall plot is something bittersweet. 8/10 The art style is very raw and unproportioned however it fits well with the type of anime it is. Many scenes really show us a good use of colour and distorted art, especially the Sabbath parties. It matches the sound and chaos happening around. 8/10 The sound is average, voice acting is decent but the only thing that really stoodout was the reoccurring music and one of the main characters Ryo's voice. 5 /10
The characters are interesting, you get to see them develop in such a short amount of time, you can also see minor characters personality in very few scenes, I was able to become attached to characters I didn't like as well as characters that were only shown for about 10 minutes of screen time. 8/10
I thoroughly enjoyed this anime was binge-worthy in my opinion, The ending itself left me feeling overwhelmed and contemplating so much, the start was in many ways cliche however as I reached the climax of the anime It made me realise how far It had gone compared to where it started. 10/10
Overall - 8/10
