Review of Shakugan no Shana: Season I
This review will contain every season as I'm to lazy to go through each one.. SPOILERS AHEAD Story 7/10: Let me just say that was not worth 3 seasons to see how they ended up together in the end.. I knew there was a happy ending because for some reason I'm always looking things up and getting them spoiled for me and I'm cool with that! Anyways.. The story line is decent but not the best I've ever seen and I expected that since episode 1! Alot of people talk bad on season 2 and 3 and I don't understand why? They were just as enjoyableas season 1.. The story did get confuse me at some times and I'd find myself skipping through parts that didn't seem important to the current story line like either when they'd be talking about feelings or just random shit they had done.. Seemed like they dragged out each episode to fit the length and I got bored easily! Although I'm glad they ended up together in the end I still didn't really like the ending.. I was expecting Yuji's plan to fail and cry his eyes out of something, EVEN though I was hoping for him to win because he's the MC and you always have to support the MC! I kind of disliked that they both went off to the new world leaving their family and friends behind.. Something about it just didn't seem right! I was hoping for the Cinderella ending but it never came the way I wanted it..
Art 8/10: Art seemed decent and I didn't really find anything wrong about it... Obviously it wasn't perfected and it did have some flaws about it but it was still ok!
Sound 7/10: Same goes for the soundtrack/sound of the anime, the soundtrack was decent and nothing seemed out of place on any seasons!
Character 7/10: Each character seemed fairly decent and had a good place in all of it.. All except Kazumi.. I don't know what it was but at sometimes she would annoy the heck out of me! Like "Oh I can't keep up with his world!" Or "I'm so useless, blah blah blah!" She seemed to just nag on looking for pity everytime.. Also why did you need her for the map thing? You could of grabbed anyone, even yourself to use as the map? I don't know the rules to this thing but damn.. Each character seemed to have a good fit in to all the places they needed to be.. They didn't overuse the supporting characters aswell as not under use them. I also really enjoyed Yuji's mother, I got like a spiritual feeling from her and that she always gave good advice, positive vibes and stuff!
Overall: If you're looking for a romance anime, don't watch this unless you're willing to wait a long ass time for it! DO come for the action and plot(?) Even though the plot isn't as interesting as it could be, I can see a good reason to watch it for these two!
