Upotte!! is cute rifles doing cute things, while teaching Cool Gun Facts™ and pandering pretty heavily to military otaku. it does a pretty good job of explaining what's going on and for the most part the things it teaches you are pretty accurate, but in order to truly understand and appreciate this show and its characters you need to have a relatively solid grasp of firearms, firearm history and firearm culture. if you don't like or know anything about guns then you're likely not going to get like 90% of it. a bit like watching Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger without knowing anything about sentai shows.
