Review of School Days

This anime is a romance that goes the other way of the majority: downwards. And it does it very dramatically. I mean it's extremely dark. Yes, the beginning was more like a usual, positive romance. But even there, there are signs of the incoming storm. Then the romance goes downwards like a truck that lost its brakes. While watching, you feel how your heart is being shredded to pieces. You see how bad someone can get just by not caring about others even the slightest. In the end, the situation the first girl and second girl get into, stabs your heart a few times more thanthe previous episodes do to you.

You will not be relaxed while watching this anime. An animal, including a human, gets hard after dying. While watching this, you will not feel alive and you will feel that hardness on all of your muscles.

I gave the story 6 because it was a very well-written bad story. I could give more but I want to warn the future viewers about the negativity they will see. Everything considered it is really a good "bad anime".

I heard it would be dark. And it really was. Even Madoka is like sunlight and cuteness and joy when compared to this, and I call Madoka a very dark anime.

BTW, it says "mild nudity" and that's right. But it's actually mild. There are some nudity and sex, but it's not even like ecchi. It's only for storytelling purposes and isn't emphasized. I saw ecchi animes with more nudity and sexuality even though they didn't even have the "mild nudity" tag.

If you want to see such an anime, it's a masterpiece. Don't let the ranks deceive you. Quality-wise it's very good. But I guess the negativity in the story is overwhelming for people, and they would be right.
