Review of High School of the Dead

If you don't like blood, gore, boobs, and panty shots then find another anime fast. BUT If you enjoy ragdoll and gore special effects like in Halo, Gears of War, or on the anime side Claymore or Freezing and/or you are a bit of a pervert please fire up this anime! YOU WILL LIKE IT. I PROMISE. Simply put this is a stereotypical zombie apocalypse storyline there is nothing special about how they portray the world or anything like that. What they do in this anime for the most part is give the watcher a real sense of..... well the dirtiest parts of a zombieapocalypse.

Therefore! the artwork is pretty good (as far as I can tell) and the characters with the exception of some small background identities that helps you understand them somewhat are pretty flat.

The sound isn't anything special but it doesn't make me go... huh? either

Now on to the good stuff! What makes this anime stand out is.....

It has some pretty awesome fight scenes with some pretty cool zombie destruction and ragdolls and gore! I won't ruin it but some episodes I watched multiple times just to take in the cool factor. The second thing that makes this anime stand out is that you could ALMOST think of it like a harem. The male lead is pretty dumb when it comes to girls but he does manage to get to first base twice in 12 episodes. So yes! lots of boobs and panties and.... other stuff.... that is enticing to watch! If you are a girl and you don't mind ecchi and you like the bad-ass animes then i recommend this anime to you also!
