Review of Fighting Spirit: Champion Road

Unfortunately this movie was a little off for me. the bulk of it was funny and enjoyable, but the fight was basically identical to the Sendo one and the opponent is a bit mono dimensional. The fight is really frustrating and i almost quit the movie at that stage. Ippo seems to have forgotten everything he has ever learned and has a hard time with the opponent. its a difficult watch and leaves you feeling unsatisfied with Ippos performance. However the rest of the movie was really enjoyable and really funny at times. I think this is why the score is so high. Id recommend watching this ifyou love the series and need your Fighting Spirit fix, and you have seen everything else. but there is nothing here that progresses the story and the fight is just frustrating.
the opponent pretty much deserves to win, but is happy in the end not to.

I think this movie is pretty skippable.
