Review of Plastic Neesan
It might not look like it at first, but some of the finest gag humour you will see in anime lies right here, folks. A feat that becomes all the more impressing when you consider the entire runtime of this show shies from 28 minutes approximately. Just so that you know, that's usually what the average episode of a regular anime last usually. Just from the get-go, you are greeted with perhaps, one of the more chaotic anime intros I have ever seen. That pretty much lies the tone and feel of the rest of show: raw, pure, and unadulterated chaos. Nothing on this series makes sense:why do the main-character girls all have plastic models of vehicles seemingly attached to their head at all times? Why is there a presumably alive toy soldier hiding in the tank on top Maki-Maki's head? Why does Okappa possess a superhuman force whenever she gets angry? And more importantly enough, why is everyone on this series some kind of perv when given the opportunity to act on their instincts?
Do you want to know the answer? It doesn't matter! You are thinking too hard about it! Just sit-down, bring some food with you and relax while you watch the nonstop joke after joke after joke and absurd and ridiculous situations this anime was made to deliver in the first place. I haven't been more entertained watching an anime such as this in a long while, and while some episodes can get rather stale and boring at times, I'm confident to state that Plastic Neesan is one of my favourite comedy anime ever made, without a doubt.
Give it a try, it is worthwhile and takes less than 30 minutes to watch. You will enjoy it, trust me.
