Review of Castle in the Sky
One of my favorite movies of this director and undoubtedly the most entertaining, it tells the story of an innocent character (Sheeta) who has an object that everyone wants to snatch for his great power. A story already told thousands of times in film and literature but that almost always works, and more if it happens as in this case that we add some beautiful places, the soundtrack of the great Joe Hisaishi and the direction of Miyazaki, here flying high for the first time. "Castle in the Sky" is one of the simplest films of this director, and also one the most accomplished, does not ruinin any moment, is compact, keeps the excitement of the adventure from beginning to end making us to fall in love with its great beauty, besides having the habitual Miyazaki's criticism to the savagery of the humans with the nature, but this time with great success, without becoming irritating nor trying that we realize in a reiterative way for the children that it is necessary to take care of the nature. This is how I think a message is presented in an elegant and powerful way, without leaving you uninterested about what happens because of insisting too much on the issue as happens in "Mononoke"
An emotional, vibrant and very imaginative film with a nice palette of colors, artistic direction and beautiful surroundings.
