Review of Monster

Monster is one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. Its story, character-building and development, twists and turns, and dialogue are worthy of applause. It’s intense, mysterious, terrifying and poetic. The art style is very realistic and the characters' animations really bring them to life. Johan is one of the best antagonists I’ve ever seen—his voice, his demeanor, his personality—all horrifying and incredible. Tenma and Nina are great leads with great depth, and carry the narrative strongly. Naoki Urasawa’s brilliant tale is just amazing and stands out in the anime world. It’s a thrilling watch and I can’t wait to rewatch it in the future!
