Review of Den-noh Coil

I have seen more depth storytelling in this kid show than in some “Seinen” nowdays. Yes, is a kids show but with such a great story and complex characters that you forgot that is actually for that market. Story 8/10: the mayor problem in this show is the pacing, not even the plot, plot is great, is how first half is kind of slow (for some people boring), but not for me, I enjoy this show all time. Anyway, second half is full of mystery /plot twist and is hard to explain the story without giving mayor spoilers, so for Synopsis there is already onein the site. What I particularly enjoy the most is how characters faced the problems, was fresh due to the fact of being kinds yet mature.
Another plus will be that show is not predictable; I have watch soooo many “mistery” animes that in the first episodes you can tell how will end easily.

Characters 10/10: I simple loved the female characters in this show, I find them “multi-layer”, not that typical stereotypes of the dumb/overly- cute, there is not in-between nowadays, they act according to the situation. “Character development” is on point, the depth in their actions is such a fresh air, I would say that some characters have a melancholic undertone without being overdramatic.

Art 7/10 : is not that fancy yet works perfectly to emphasized they are ordinary people facing problems with their normal technology life.

sound 7/10: I like the ending but for me that’s it… music wise? Not that much, there were some situations that would improve if music were different, but wasn’t bad either.

Enjoyment overall: 9/10 : I really like it, I recommend this show without hesitation. The problem is that this show is not for everyone, you have to bear the slow pacing at beginning and also the heave sci-fi plot, I´ll dare to say that the show is more about facing the situation (characters) than plot itself tho, mystery is what keep you on going, and characters again are the best part :3 .
