Review of Fate/Zero
This prequel was such a fresh experience for me. I had gotten so jaded of the 5th Grail War because I watched Fate/stay night and UBW right after one another. But getting to see the 4th Grail War and being introduced to new characters rejuvenated my interest in this franchise. I gotta say, I much prefer the Caster and Rider pairs from the 4th Grail War over the pairs from the 5th Grail War. They're a lot richer as characters than the Caster and Rider pairs from Fate/stay night and UBW. I'm also enjoying seeing the connections to the 5th Grail War that came aboutbecause of the 4th Grail War. There's a few things with Emiya, for example, that pave the way for Shirou and his part in the Grail Wars that's really cool to see.
There's also a little more background given for Rin and Sakura, which is interesting because I didn't think I'd see the main series' characters at all in this prequel.
Overall, Fate/Zero has been a really positive experience. I'm ready for the next season.
