Story 9/10 A brilliant story of a group of teenagers who are still struggling years after the death of their friend, the MC nicknamed Jintan suddenly begins to see their dead friend Menma and although the others cannot see her it begins a quest among them to grant Menma her wish so they can send her to heaven and begin finally to move on in their lives. Art 9/10 A beautifully drawn world blessed with colourful locations and characters. Sound 8/10Music is memorable and sound is also excellent with high level voice acting.

Characters 9/10

The entire group of friends which make up the main characters of Anohana do an excellent job they are all clearly struggling with moving on from the loss of Menma and each of them have completely different feelings which affect their interaction with one another with the circumstances of Menma’s return they are virtually forced to accept these feeling and no matter how painful express their feelings.

Enjoyment 8/10

A delightful show enjoyable throughout but containing a brilliant emotional ending that can’t help but hit you hard in the feels.

Overall 9/10
