Review of Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day

This anime is one of my favorites and I regret not watching it earlier due to its low episode count. This anime became my apparent theme due to my love for it. So here goes my review Story 8/10 I think that the story of this anime, albeit very good, has some flaws in it. I think that Menma's end goal was not as remarkable as I thought it would have been and the way they execute drama sometimes feels a bit forced e.g Anjou Naruko scene in the gamestore. The Last scene of the anime though, is the one that gave me chills the most. Iwatched the anime a lot of times just for the last scene and it never failed to give me goosebumps and bring me to tears everytime I watch it.

Art 10/10
I think the art of this anime is one of its strong points. It has a movie feel to it and the art was so pleasing to look at that you would not get bored watching this anime. The scenery in particular is one of the best I have ever seen in a TV anime. Character Design was also very good although not that unique in my own opinion.

Sound 10/10
Although not as memorabble as Dango Dango Daikazoku of Clannad, the soundtrack of this anime is still stuck in my head until now, from the great Opening song which made me sing along everytime to the sad ED sung by the seiyuus and also the OST which intensifies every moment. This is also the anime where I discovered the voices of my top two seiyuus Saori Hayami and Kayano Ai which in my opinion did a stellar job in their voice acting especially Kayano Ai.

Character 9/10
Although the characters were great albeit not that unique in the anime world, it still has flaws in it because I think that some characters did not get enough development for me to sympathize with them e.g Popo and Tsuruko. I just feel like that they could've explained the characters and their motives a little bit better. I also think that they could've explained the feelings of the characters toward each other a little better.

I enjoyed this anime very much. I started to watch this anime, I never thought that I finished it in one day, I got so hooked into it and I think that the rating is obvious due to the fact that every design in my MAL profile is based on this anime

I think a lot of anime watchers who like tear jerking anime will like this and if you still havent watched this anime, I suggest you do and you will not regret it
