Review of Haibane Renmei

Haibane renmei is one of my favourite animes, the world building is in depth, the characters are fun and the story itself and the questions it brings are captivating! The interactions between Raka and the other Haibane during the first 6 episodes really set the right atmosphere. Haibane renmei discusses the purpose of life and its meaning, how mysterious it is. The symbolism is done it a way that doesn't feel like its shoving it at our faces (what evangelionm did) and the story itself isn't completely vague (much like SEL). For me, it was fun to try and figure out the answers to the proposedquestions in the show, as Yoshitoshi Abe said that we can decide the answers for ourselves. For me, the show made me cherish what is available and not be too afraid of anything and be content with what you have (anomalies apply).
