Review of Black Rock Shooter

It's gonna be a rather short review. For reference, I watched the anime before the OVA. Story: 4/10 When i first started watching it I was trying to figure out exactly what was going on. Are these parallel universes or dream worlds or whatever. Filling in blanks in an anime is fine, though... until there's too many blanks. They tried going for a complex story with complex characters. Sadly the story just ended up being really bad. I could not even accept the "ending" they chose. The anime was going at a steady pace and then suddenly BAM developments coming from nowhere near the end of the anime.With little time left they tried to explain some things half assed which is almost as bad, if not worse than not explaining at all.

Art: 10/10

Beautiful artwork. The parallel universe seemed was like a well drawn junkyard. Probably the only thing that kept me watching was the fight scenes

Character: 7/10

There were characters and they did have some form of development. Pretty well done with variety.

Enjoyment: 6/10

At least I can say the anime was not boring
