Review of School Days

I watched and fell in love with Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, which is how I found this series. School Days was listed as a recommended series. I'll be honest at first this series starts off exactly like any other harem. And to my disappointment it continues along that path until the very last episode. Granted the last episode will leave you jaw jacked and awe struck, but it took too long for the shit to hit the fan in my opinion. The quick and dirty of this series is that there is a boy who takes the train to school everyday, andrides w/ a girl he's never talked to. He snaps a picture of her on his cell, hoping for something to happen that will let their paths' cross. Once a friend from school sees the picture and realizes his feelings for the girl, she decides to play match maker.

His friend introduces herself to the girl from the train, and they become friends...since the girl from the train is very shy.

The next day she introduces the future couple, and all seems great! Until sparks start to fly between the friends and he begins to get "bored" with the girl from the train. Things spiral wildly out of control from here on out. Follow the story of betrayal, lies, and deceit to get your bloody finish.
