This anime has to be by far one of the best I have seen ever.The story revolves around a scary looking half masked,black caped looking doctor(he does resemble Dracula in a way!),by the name of Dr Black Jack. The doctor holds the reputation for being the world's best surgeon,but only works for the 'rich'.Though initially you get a feeling that this guy is pretty greedy,but in reality he is a very kind hearted man. The anime boasts of a very independant storyline.Most episodes remain independant of each other,with each story touching your heart in a very unusual way.The animation is really good and if you are wondering why the style issoo similar to Astro Boy's,then you should know that both the original Manga's were authored by Osamu Tezuka.

Overall the anime is excellent and I would reccommend everyone to atleast try watching the series once.
