Review of The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

An absolutely incredible anime. No matter how many times I watch it, I’m always deeply moved and amazed by the sheer quality of this movie. Every aspect—characters, music, story, and the finer details—are beautifully crafted and complement each other perfectly. The TV series itself is also fantastic and truly enriches the experience. To fully appreciate this masterpiece, I highly recommend watching the original series first—The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Season 1 and 2. Pay close attention to the story and characters as they develop. Then, watch this movie. You’re in for an extraordinary experience that’s truly unforgettable. I really enjoyed following the story development in this movie —even with a runtime of over 2 hours and 30 minutes, I never felt bored at all.
