Boy, a year can really change a lot. Hyouka. This anime aged well, really well. Around a year ago, I really wasn't into the whole mystery scene and I sorta brushed this series under the rug for the most part (aside from the amazing characters). I really feel bad for being so harsh on this one, but I honestly blame the lack of exposure to "good" anime. Watching something like High School DXD and then skipping to this one probably wasn't a good idea at the time. Coming back, everything from the story to the characters were just more enjoyable to watch. Albeit, the animeis revolving around a few high schooler's, so I'm not sure why I was so gung-ho about everything trying to be something it's not.

There's really nothing more to say than just, well done with the characters. First viewing this I thought Oreki was a simple, boring character that *does* get better over time. But honestly I didn't know why he was getting better. And it's not just his character, it's all of them. In small, minute ways, all of them change overtime for the better, and being able to really see that now is so much more satisfying.

I honestly love it when anime uses classical music scores to express a scene better, it just makes the anime feel so much more alive in my opinion. But the art in this anime was amazing. From the very beginning, I fell in love with how fluid and smooth it was. The animation and art style alone is outstanding.

Overall, I'm impressed. If you had my feelings the first time around where you didn't "feel" this one. I highly implore you all to re-watch this. You may just find your next favorite. I recommend you watch this!
