The Girl Who Hibernates · review
READ IF YOU LIKED: Rutile's relationship with Padparadscha in Houseki no Kuni (Land of the Lustrous) A simple, enjoyable one-shot that takes a timeless fairy-tale trope and puts it in the modern japan highschool setting, with a minor twist or two to add some intrigue and slightly deeper emotional/philosophical questions to it's 40-odd page run. Easily read within 30 minutes, but feels longer. Not a bad thing though, as it executes a simple concept exceedingly well. Instantly charming characters, particularly the MC, and there are a lot of small, lovingly crafted touches that speak to a budding, underlying strength in this newbie mangaka (Satori Okita) asan author. I eagerly await future works from them.
