6.9/10 “I wish I had a female childhood best friend” are words most weebs have muttered at least once in their life — well, at least I’m projecting here — and this manga made that its entire premise. In other words, a story where the childhood best friend can’t lose! All is good, right? Unfortunately not, as the manga itself isn’t really interesting due to the weak and dumb characters. The mc is your average self-insert, and even though he wished he had a childhood best friend to get a girlfriend, he for some reason doesn’t even bother rizzing up his female best friends? His entire characteris wacky and inconsistent because he for some reason pushes away any advances of the childhood friend.
As for the childhood friend, she’s your average copy-paste assertive type of heroine who continues to try everything to make the mc like her back. She’s not horrible, but her entire character is pretty dumb due to the plot.
For “plot related reasons” she has the dumb idea of just not telling the mc and dragging out the story because … premise reasons~. I’m fine with some dumb assertive fmcs in romance stories, but the author purposely forced this manga’s premise, making for a rather silly plot and characters.
If you’ve had enough of your share of these types of mangas, then this really isn’t worth your time, as the writing and characters are way too weak to be anything special or different.
